Our daily lives are getting busier – we barely have time to make breakfast these days, let alone try a new make-up look. But what if we said you can mix up your look in as little as three minutes? The trick is to choose one feature – whether it’s your eyes or lips – to focus on.
There are so many quick and easy ways to make a statement, so keep reading!
The bright eye
An effective way to stand out and look like you’ve spent a lot of time on your look is a Crayola-bright eye. The secret to making your eyes pop is to choose a colour that is opposite on the colour wheel. For example, blue is opposite to orange and red, green looks brighter alongside purple shades and brown eyes look amazing when combined with green and yellow.

The worn-in lip
If you don’t want to be reapplying your make-up every hour, but you love a bold lip, then this is the look for you. Using a matte lipstick, pat onto your lips straight from the bullet. With your ring finger, tap and smudge it into your lips to create a smudged, worn effect. This way you don’t need the edges to be too neat, perfect for a rushed morning.

The highlighted eye
If you’ve had a late night but have an early morning meeting, a trick to making your eyes look bigger and brighter is to use a white liner. Starting at the inner corner of the eye, apply it in the shape of a sideways V. Draw the line out two-thirds of the way along your waterline. Next, draw from the inner corner about a third of the way along the upper lash line. Gently smudge the edges to add a softer finish.

The bright glossy stain
A bold lip doesn’t need to take hours to perfect. Keep the rest of your face natural (or even make-up free!) and look for a slightly glossy textured lip stain. This look takes minutes but really packs a punch.
