To celebrate the warmer weather and many, many new beauty releases, we look at some of our favourite tips, tricks and products to achieve the perfect fresh-faced look ready for summer.
Tip one: Exfoliate twice a week. This will wash away any dead skin cells that are dulling your complexion.
Our current favourite is the L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfection Radiance Revealing Exfoliator (£4.49).
Tip two: Apply skincare at least 20 minutes before make-up. Leaving some time before allows it to soak in to the skin and create a smooth, moisturised canvas.
Our current favourite is Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream 24-hour daily moisturiser (£24).
Tip three: Apply a primer before your foundation.
Our current favourite is Bourjois Happy Light Serum Primer (£10.99).
Tip four: When applying foundation, start at the centre of the face and apply in sheer layers. For more coverage, repeat the process.
Our current favourite is Dior Diorskin Forever Fluid Foundation (£33).
Tip five: Soft smoky eyes are big news so instead of black and grey, opt for taupe and mink hued shadow. Buff light layers onto the eyelid and avoid harsh lines.
Our current favourite is Bourjois Smoky Stories Quad in Good Nude (£7.99).
Tip six: If you’re looking a little pale, use your fingers to dab some liquid blush on your cheekbone. This will give you a pretty, delicate flush of colour.
Our current favourite is Rimmel London Stay Blushed! Liquid cheek tint (£4.49).
Tip seven: If you’re going for after-work drinks, get a hit of glamour with a swipe of lipstick.
Our current favourite is Bourjois Souffle de Velvet liquid lipstick (£6.99).
Tip eight: At the end of the day, remember to cleanse and cleanse again. It is important to remove all traces of make-up and dirt before going to sleep.
Our current favourite is Origins Clean Energy gentle cleansing oil (£23.50).
