Halloween is the perfect time to embrace the nail art trend. Halloween is the one time of year when you are encouraged to go all out and totally transform yourself.
Whether you’re dressing up for a party, or simply want to give a nod to the day, you can’t go wrong with a fun nail design. Take a look below for some Halloween-inspired nail ideas…
Unleash your inner monster with some simple stitching! Pick some Halloween-appropriate colours and paint three block strips across your nail. Once dry, use a black nail art pen to draw ‘stitches’ between each colour.
Black cat manicure
Give your classic French manicure a spooky twist with black cat tips. Start by applying a clear base coat and leave to dry. The use black polish to create two triangle shapes on either side of the tips, then add a half-moon shape to join them together. Once dry, paint some white dots for eyes. When these have dried paint a thin strip of black on the centre of the eyes.
Blood spattered tips
Don’t cover the evidence – show it off! Use a sponge applicator to apply black and red polish the tips of your nails, for a blood-spattered look. Finish off with a clear top coat.
Skulls can be super easy to do and look really effective for Halloween. Start with a white base and then paint a curved vertical line on both sides with black polish to make the skull shape. Add a horizontal line and small vertical lines for the mouth followed by two large dots for eyes and an upside down heart for the nose. Seal your design with a top coat.
These are easy to do, so are perfect for nail art novices. Simply paint your nails white and add two black dots for eyes and another for the mouth.
