Nail art is big news in the beauty world, but it can be intimidating to the novices among us. If you have short nails and aren’t used to nail art, some of the more complex designs may feel out of reach if you want to do it yourself.
Luckily there are plenty of simple designs that work well on shorter nails and still look impressive. A great design to master is the leopard print design. Take a look below for a step by step tutorial:
Step 1: Start with a good basecoat to protect your nails. Once this has dried, apply your colour of choice – we love brighter hues for this look, why not try a vibrant turquoise?

Step 2: When the colour has dried you can start applying blobs of brown to begin your pattern. The patterns shouldn’t be uniform so don’t be too precise.

Step 3: Once your blobs have dried, you can outline them with a black nail art pen. Leave a few gaps in there for a natural look.

Step 4: Add a few more marks with the nail art pen – try broken circles, half-moons and dots to add a little depth to the design.
Step 5: To protect your masterpiece and add a little sheen, add a layer of clear top coat.
