We’ve all been there – just when you think your make-up is looking on point, you go a little too far and mess it up. The good news is, almost any mistake is salvageable.
Take a look below for some common beauty blunders and how you can save face (literally).
Don’t worry, they’ll grow back! But in the meantime, use a dab of concealer in the gaps and go over with a brow powder. The concealer will help the powder stay in place, even in the spots where there are no gaps.
Too much powder
Overdoing it on the powder can look cakey. Give your face a quick spray with a facial mist and lightly press a tissue over the offending areas. This will loosen up the powder and remove a little, just make sure you press the tissue lightly and don’t wipe to avoid removing your make-up completely.
Too much concealer can crease up, especially around the eyes. Use a cotton pad dipped in make-up remover to loosen up the concealer and remove any excess.
Too much foundation
When you use too much foundation it can start to collect in any lines you may have – not a great look. Use a damp make-up sponge and dabble over any areas of build-up. Use a tissue to dry it off et voilà – you’re done!
When a bold lip goes wrong, simply dip a cotton bud in micellar water and clean up the smudge.
Too much mascara
To avoid clumping, keep a clean mascara wand and use it after you apply your mascara. This will comb the lashes and pick up any excess product.
