From top London brand Nails Inc. comes the Neon and Nude Mini Collection, a range of six miniature polishes designed to complement the upcoming spring and summer looks.
This cute and compact mini collection is great for girls who get bored easily. Why stick with one nail colour when you can have six? The problem is, Nails Inc. can be pricey and as much as we’d love to buy out their entire range, at £11-£15 a pot, it’s not really a bank-friendly addiction.
Thankfully, each polish in this collection is a cute and compact mini edition of a carefully selected Nails Inc. shade – so although you get less in a pot, you get more choice.
So, let’s take a look at the shades this collection includes:
Porchester Square Polish is described as a ‘muted mushroom shade’: not quite grey and not quite beige. Not exactly a show-stopper, but a chic and subtle colour that wouldn’t look out of place in a trendy London bar. Like Jermym Street, this shade would suit a day at the office and, because it’s much lighter, makes for a more understated look. This is definitely a Spring style and will look nice teamed with nude-look makeup and fresh skin.
Cadogan Square Polish is a ‘classic camel’ shade that looks a little like a pot of melted caramel chocolate. It’s the last of the nude side of the collection and, in our opinion, is the safest option. Lighter than Jermyn Street and darker than Porchester Square, this shade makes a nice middle ground and is the best for everyday wear; not particularly experimental, but practical all the same.
Jermyn Street Polish is a soft and sophisticated brown or ‘taupe’ that is in fact Nails Inc.’s best selling shade, and it’s clear to see why. Versatile and classic, it gets away with being vampy without seeming too rebellious – but only just. If you’re a nail biter, there’s the slight risk of looking like a teenager who’s just discovered Green Day and black hair-dye. But, worn with light-coloured heels and a well tailored suit, it can look smart and sophisticated – making it perfect for wearing at work.
Notting Hill Gate Polish is one of Nails Inc.’s newest shades and, for this collection, the first leap into the neon. After a hard day at the office showcasing our nude shades, it’s time to let the hair down and reveal our wild sides. This intense, luminous pink is bound to get some second looks and is far more suited to a Soho bar than a day in the office.
Westbourne Grove Polish is another new addition to the Nails Inc. family. This light orange-yellow shade is like summer in a pot and is definitely one to take on holiday with the girls.
Portobello Polsih is a bright orange-red shade and is the raunchiest of them all. Like Notting Hill Gate, this polish wouldn’t look out of place at a rave. However, why confine those neon nails to the night-time? We think Portobello is versatile enough to wear during the day as an eye-catching addition to a summery outfit.
Buying each colour separately would set you back in the region of £66, so this limited edition collection will save you £44. Bargain!
