Featuring Cheek Powder, Pigments, Lippies and Splashproof pencils and mascaras and some totally sweet packaging, the Surf! Baby Colour collection actually features some of the most wearable and appealing shades I’ve seen in a limited edition collection for some time now.
When Mac Limited edition collections now come out I try not to get swept up in the hype as in the past I’ve bought things which I wouldn’t have dreamed of picking up had they featured in the main line collection (I’m looking at you Wonder Women and Venomous Villains).
However, I was in Mac the other day picking up a face and body and a beautiful soft pink coral colour caught my eye.
Strange Potion is a lipglass so as expected it’s really rather tacky but does last a good while on the lips. The colour has some pink shimmer running through it to give it some extra depth but it is subtle and by no means super glittery. The mix of coral and pink make this shade uber flattering when worn with either tanned or natural paler skin, a bonus for those days without fake tan. Lastly the pigmentation is worth a mention as it appears to be much stronger than in other lipglasses with more of a semi-opaque finish. This means it stands up really well when worn alone but looks equally as good when worn over coral or pink lipsticks.
Check out the Surf! Baby Colour collection at www.maccosmetics.co.uk where you can pick up the strange potion lipglass for £13.50.
Peace out dudes!
