False lashes are a great way of achieving extra glamour and eye lift but can end up looking a little to full on and unnatural. If your anything like me and have tiny eyes, you will almost certainly have to give most sets of lashes a short, back and sides with some nail scissors before applying them.
For a while now I have been on the hunt for a natural looking pair of lashes which come in a shorter length and the first brand I’ve come across that seem to offer this is Girls With Attitude. The brand is apparently a favourite with Leona Lewis’ make-up artist Jane Bradley, and includes a huge range of false lashes in different lengths and styles (all priced at £5).
The shorties range is perfect for anyone new to the world of false eyelashes, or indeed for anyone with small eyes. There are five different designs in the range: Classic, Velvet Passion, Short and Sweet, Mysterious and Graceful. I tried out Classic, which are light, natural and flared in the outer corners and Mysterious, which are thick and densely packed.
These lashes are such a breeze to apply because they are not too long! The only thing I would say is the glue which is included is an absolute catastrophe. It is too watery difficult to put on the lashes, doesn’t have a wand, takes a decade to dry and dry’s white and not clear. Save yourself the heartache and time of battling with this glue and invest in a better one. Girls With Attitude sell their own individual tubes of glue which is a much better formula (these are great and come with a nifty application wand), or plump for the never disappointing Duo glue from MAC.
The lashes are really comfortable to wear and if you are careful when removing them you can get at least three wears out of each set. Take a look at the entire range of lashes on the Girls With Attitude website.
