About Karunavapi - a lake of compassion
I am passionate about offering my skills and experience in Massage, Meditation and Relaxation. I work intuitively and apply my skills and experience to each client according to their needs at that time. I focus on deep relaxation and encouraging the body, mind and heart to learn how to be aware and relax more deeply in any moment.
I use aromatherapy oils blended according to your requirements.

Appointments available at the Healing Rooms above Bristol Buddhist Centre on Gloucester Road, Bristol and Bedminster, Bristol.
I qualified as a massage therapist in 1997 (ITEC) & in Counselling & Guidance in 1996. I worked in a retreat centre in Wales for four years & a Clinic in Long Ashton, Bristol, for three years. I have practiced Massage from the Healing Rooms in Bishopston and the Practice Room in Bedminster since 2010.
My Massage Diploma, with the Bristol School of Massage, focused on the holistic & therapeutic approach to well-being; thus treating the whole person, not solely a presenting ‘issue’.
I am a member of the International Council of Holistic Therapists (ICHT) and the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT).
I learnt to meditate and follow the Buddhist path at Bristol Buddhist Centre in 1994. I was Ordained into the Triratna Buddhist Order (who run Bristol Buddhist Centre and the Healing Rooms) in 2008 & given the name Karunavapi, which means ‘She who is a Lake of Compassion’. I now teach meditation and Buddhism at Bristol Buddhist Centre and on retreats.
