Bobbie Brown can always be relied on to provide beauty lovers with a ‘must have’ product each season and this Spring is no exception.

Eye creams are extremely difficult to find, simply because our eyes are such a sensitive area. If we put the wrong eye cream on then it could result in them looking more puffy then how they started! Bobbie Brown’s Extra Eye Repair Cream is as light as a feather and extremely gentle.

It is packed full of peptides, natural plant oils and humectants that target wrinkles, dark circles and puffiness. Sounds like exactly what we need. For those mornings you don;t feel like opening your eyes this cream is great for reviving and brightening.

A perfect partner in crime for the eye cream is the new Tinted Eye Brightener. This was already a bestseller at Bobbi but its been given a fabulous make over and is now a portable pen! Twist, click and conceal. It really is that simple. You can apply this lightweight concealer to instantly brighten under-eye circles and refresh your make-up.

If you’ve tried everything you can to banish the blemishes but nothing seems to be working then this could be just what you need.

Origins have ‘hit the spot’ quite literally with their new tingly blemish busting elixir. The product is fairly new to the market and has already picked up the U Magazine beauty award for ‘Best Blemish Buster’. Its now one of Origins best selling products and we can believe it.

The salicylic acid reduces the look of redness while the oregano and clove buds join forces to give you clear looking skin. Spot lotions and potions can often be very astringent and harsh on the skin, sometimes causing the dreaded flaky forehead. This blemish treatment is only harsh on spots and won’t cause sensitivity in other areas.

The idea is to cover the area in question with a thin layer. Start by using the product once a day and then gradually increase to 2 or 3 times daily if needed. If the peeling forehead and chin rear their heads then reduce frequency of application. You will also be elated to know that this product still works its magic underneath a full face of make-up.

You can purchase this product directly from the Origins website or you can pop into Boots and pick one up for £10.

Mac always has a fantastic line up of celebrities to represent their Viva Glam collection from which the proceeds go to the MAC Aids fund. This season however is possibly the most exciting yet as they have nabbed women of the moment Lady Gaga and also singing legend Cyndi Lauper, both of whom have created their very own shades.

Sharon Osbourne interviewed the pair at the recent press day and took the opportunity to grill the wacky pair about what had attracted them to becoming ambassadors for the range before they took to the stage to perform. It was obvious that the issue was close to all three women on stage, with Cyndi having lost a friend to AIDS, and Sharon speaking about a family member living with HIV.

Lady Gaga has created a shade based on the MAC bestseller ‘Pink Nouveau’ which she explained she used to treat herself to when she was feeling a little low! Cyndi on the other hand had created an eye popping deep red colour.

All sales from the Viva Glam lipstick range goes to the MAC Aids fund.
Available from the 15th March www.macaidsfund.org, £12.50, Viva Glam has raised over £160 million so far.

This product may seem pricey on the surface, but when you think about everything it does it is in actual fact fantastic value. This products means there is no need to invest in new eye shadow shades as you can spice up old colours with this eyeshadow intensifier. The idea is to add a drop of du wop to your old dull powders and just like magic you will have a new and improved creamy shade!

You can also use Du Wop to transform your old shadows into liquid eye-liners which means you now have a triple whammy of things you can do with your eyeshadows.

A simple beauty trick is to mix power shadow or glitter pigment with a little water, or simply to dampen your applicator brush before applying for a more intense colour. This does work but the staying power isn’t great and will definitely not last an average working day without a number of touch ups. DuWop on the other hand creates longer lasting colour which will see you all the way through the day.

You can purchase DuWop Payoff Eyeshadow Intensifier online from ASOS for £18.00

Knowing what to do with your hair is a constant battle. Gone are the innocent days of plaiting and pinning random sections of hair and still managing to look cute as a button. We all tend to opt out of trying to create interesting hairstyles and go for the failsafe option of wearing it down.

Well the Spring catwalks have come up with some fabulous, interesting and wearable looks for your hair. We have already championed the plaited look so here is another slightly more sophisticated option.

The ballet bun is officially back in business. It has been spotted on the Lanvin catwalk at Paris fashion week and has since been popping up on many pretty heads, including that of the pictured Kate Bosworth.

The thin, short and limp haired may be thinking that they don’t have the right merchandise to create an ample sized bun but fear not, this is what the doughnut ring is for. We suggest you pick up one of these fantastic contraptions from Boots for £4.50.

Simply brush your hair into a gravity defying extremely high ponytail and secure with a bobble. Pop the ponytail through the middle of the doughnut ring and then spread the hair over until the ring is completely covered and secure in place with some kirby grips.

For a preened look finish off with a slick of hairspray (Umberto Giannini Catwalk Beauty Hairspray £4.99 works well) and a dash of shine serum (again Umberto Giannini Spa Rituals Indulgent Shine Spray £4.99 is great). Alternatively if elegantly dishevelled is more your style then rough it up a bit by using a comb to pull out wispy strands of hair and then spritz in place with some hair spray.

When we heard the news of Lush’s new Colour Supplement we suddenly realised how totally crazy it was that no one had pipped Lush to the post with this multi-purpose pot of goodness.

So what is Lush Colour Supplement? Well it’s whatever you want it to be really. A foundation, a tinted moisturiser, a concealer. Take your pick.

The colour base can be used in combination with other products or simply on its own. It works fabulously as a tinted moisturiser because it doesn’t require you to change you regular moisturiser. You know how it is when you find a great face cream and come summer you have to hunt for a tinted version as foundation is often too heavy in the heat.

The colour supplement comes in four different colours so pick one that suits your skin tone and mix it with you favourite moisturiser on the back of your hand before applying as normal.

The colours choices include Dark Pink which is the darkest available shade for people with a healthy glow or pink skin. Dark Yellow works best for olive skin tones and light yellow and light pink have been created for an ivory skin tone and pale pink complexions respectively.

All colours are made using a blend of soya and rice bran oils and do not negatively affect the skin like mineral oils would, whats more is that this product is not tested on animals and it is totally one hundred percent suitable for vegans!

If you are going on a night out and want a longer lasting look than the tinted moisturiser option then use the colour supplement on its own as a foundation. You can also dot a little around unsightly blemishes for effective coverage.

This one product fits all means that you no longer have to carry round your entire make-up bag with you, leaving plenty of room in your handbag for the kitchen sink.

Lush Colour Supplements come in at £7.50 for 20g and can be purchases from the Lush website or in-store.

Fed up with your yawn worthy hair and fancy trying out a new style this Spring? Why not try giving your hair a good old plaiting. Every season we see some sort of revival of the braid, but never more than in Spring/Summer 2010. It has recently been spotted on the catwalks in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Dishevelled, fishtailed, sculptural or even intertwined with ribbons. Whether you prefer it loose and messy or tight and preened, you can’t really go wrong.

We know there are too many options to consider now so why not try a messy fishtail plait ala Fearne Cotton at the Brits. Our favourite fashionable presenter rocked the braided look with a gorgeous vintage looking polka dot dress and some bright red lippy, a look which Beauty Resource covet.

Heres how to get the look:

-After washing your hair apply a generous amount of mousse before giving your hair a quick rough dry, this will create lots of body and will keep you plait in place.

-Back comb the hair for some extra body and add height with a tail combination

-Take small sections of the hair and sweep over to one side before pinning in place at the back of the neck.

-Interweave the sections to create a tousled look and then with the bulk of the hair at one side create a loose wide plait, leaving three inches at the bottom and secured with a clear band.

-Use the tail comb to then gently pull a few little strands from the front for a slightly messy look and then apply lots of hairspray.

The imminent release of Tim Burtons Alice in Wonderland seems to have got people all a frenzy.

With heated discussions afoot between the big cheeses at Disney and a few of the big players in cinema over the release window, there is concern that some of us might not even get to see the film!

This would be a travesty indeed but to ensure you get your piece of wonderland no matter what we suggest you invest in these delightful O.P.I nail polishes, or one of them at least.

OPI has created these four limited edition shades to tie in with the release of one of the most anticipated films of the year (which hopefully we will get to see!).

The first of the fantastic four is Absolutely Alice- An absolutely amazing blue glitter. The second is named Thanks So Muchness! and is a fantastic shimmering red. For a more sophisticated and powerful look then why not go for the Queen of Hearts favourite shade Off with Her Red! Or alternatively you could get in touch with your crazy side with a coat of Mad as a Hatter- A madly marvelous black-multi glitter.

You can purchase these colours as a mini set for a very reasonable £12.15 or if one particularly tickles your fancy then why not get the full size version for £9.95, both available from ASOS.
