Brightening Blonde Hair

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

Shine Blonde Shampoo & ConditionerI had my hair highlighted a while ago and sadly it started to fade as coloured hair eventually does so, I thought I would look for a shampoo that prolongues colour. I successfully found L’Oreal Professional Shine Blonde which enhances blonde hair, and sure enough after one week I had noticed a brighter shine to my hair.

The shine blonde shampoo is purple in colour which brings out the blonde tones in either natural or coloured/highlighted hair. There is also the shine blonde conditioner to go with the shampoo, both of which I have and smells yummy!

L’Oreal Colour ConditionerYou can also get in the same range Vitamino colour shampoo which prevents colour loss by locking in colour after getting it coloured. This is next on my list to use when I next get my hair coloured to use immediately after.

This range has impressed me and I think it is money well spent, considering it can be expensive getting your hair coloured every few months.

Grow Your Hair - FAST

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

FAST Shampoo and ConditionerI can never make up my mind when it comes to my hair, one month I want it short then I see someone with long flowing curly locks and I get jealous and wish I had kept it long. Well I recently discovered a new product called Fast, the product apparently increases hair growth by up to 50% every month, so if your hair normally grows an inch a month you can expect it to grow 11/2 inches if you use this product.

It is recommended that you use it every day and it comes in the form of shampoo or conditioner. I’m going to give it a go and if you’ve already tried it please let us know if the results were good! So hopefully by the summer my hair will have transformed from the long bob I currently have into long beach hair ready for my holiday! More info at www.body4real.co.uk.

Beauty Boost - The Natural Way

ApricotsI am a firm believer in you are what you eat, and after reading Now magazine this week I have picked up a few helpful tips.

For skin, Apricots contain Lutein a pigment in food that helps safe guard the skin against UV Rays that cause premature ageing & pigment damage, other sources are Black grapes, Peas and Kiwi fruit. These also contain Vitamin C and antioxidants for help with Acne and dry skin problems.

AvocadoFor hair, Soya milk is a good source of Protein which helps strengthen and thicken hair, beans & nuts are also good sources of Protein.

Avocado is one of the best things you can eat for your hair as it’s full of Vitamin E, and if you’re feeling a real earth mother you can even smother it all over your hair as a deep conditioning treatment, might be a bit messy washing it off after though, but they never said being beautiful was easy!

Model. Me

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

Toni and Guy have recently launched their Model Me. hair collection which, you’ll be glad to know, unlike some Toni and Guy products, is being made available for sale immediately from Boots stores. The collection of shampoos, conditioners and styling products are designed and created by three incredibly Glamorous women whos hair is an inspiration to women across the UK. This is without a doubt Toni and Guy’s most exciting mainstream product launch yet.

The three women chosen to help design the collection were British model and style icon Erin O’Conner, Helena Christensen - the beautiful Danish supermodel and chart topper Jamelia. The girls where chosen not just for their different looks and appeal but for their wildly different hair texture and styles.

Each girl played a key part in designing the product from choosing what would be in their collection down to the smell of the products. Erin has light textured hair which gets greasy easily. To combat this, her range includes the amazing Quick Fix Dry Shampoo - a supermodel’s must have. Helena and Jamelia have developed products to make their long sexy tresses look like they are tip top condition at all times. Goodies on offer include Movement Balm and High Gloss Blow Dry Liquid. Watch the clip below to learn more about the exciting new range or go straight to the Boots website to look at all the products.

Batiste Dry Shampoo, Bad Hair Days Are a Thing of The Past!

Thursday, May 31st, 2007

Batiste Dry ShampooI have been using this hair product for some time now and it’s a life saver. I have very fine hair and it needs washing everyday as it gets greasy quickly looking flat and lifeless. Then I came across Batiste dry shampoo; just spray it over your roots, massage it in for a minute then brush through. Hair is completely revived and the results last all day.

I have found it has also helped my hair; now I don’t need to wash it so much because it’s improved the quality of my hair. Although I’m not sure if it’s because I’m not stripping the natural goodness from my hair as much with less washing or if it’s because I now don’t need to use heated appliances so much, but whatever the reason it’s really improved my hair, and it’s so convenient for work, that’s at least 20 minutes extra in bed every other morning now.

Since using Batiste I have read about it everywhere, stars like Emma Bunton can’t get enough either. You can buy Batiste from Boots for £2.09.
