Jo Malone Kohdo Wood Collection
Thursday, May 1st, 2008Fragrance genius Jo Malone have today launched their Kohdo Wood collection. The new scents include Lotus Blossom & Water Lily (a sweet smell designed to awaken and refresh your senses) and Dark Amber & Ginger Lily (a softer, deeper scent to calm and relax). The two scents and their names are inspired by the ancient Japanese incense ceremony of Kohdo.

The Lotus Blossom & Water Lily scent contains a blend of mandarin, lotus blossom, bamboo and aloeswood to really energise and give you a boost in the mornings. The Dark Amber & Ginger Lily contains black cardamom, orchid and Kyara Wood and has been created to cleanse the senses, and help make you more positive and relaxed. I personally prefer the Dark Amber scent, it’s fresher in my opinion.
Available in this collection along with the two fragrances are a candle (£38) and bath oil (£52), visit the Jo Malone website for more information and to buy. Each fragrance will cost you £30 for 30ml and £59 for 100ml.

I have just received the new White Jasmine & Mint fragrance from Jo Malone that I mentioned a few months ago. If you’re looking to buy someone a birthday gift or even a Christmas pressie (yes Christmas is once again nearly here!) this is a perfect buy. It comes beautifully packaged in a small cream and black Jo Malone box with cute ribbon to hold it together, and when you spray the perfume the smell of the jasmine and mint will fill the room with familiar autumn scents.
I am seriously loving the Realness of Concealness mini ‘Fake it’ kit from Benefit Cosmetics. The little box is ideal for travelling and contains mini touch up versions of the ‘Fake it’ products to take with you on the move. It comes in a cute little box with sewn in mirror and the interior is decorated with pink and black polka dot material.
I have tested tanning kits for many years now, from daily moisturisers such as Olay Everyday Sunshine to longer lasting brands such as Fake Bake. I have finally come to the conclusion that St. Tropez is by far the best product for my skin type. It smells good, spreads well and the kits come with an exfoliator, moisturiser and bronzer in one. The best thing about it in my opinion is that even though you’re supposed to put in on, leave overnight then wash off, you can also put it on just before you go out (not quite as heavily!) and it will give you a great tan for the evening. You just have to pray that it doesn’t rain so you don’t go streaky!
