A recent study has predicted what will be hot news in the world of beauty this year. The results showed that the biggest demand will be for fat-melting procedures and chin implants. Non-surgical treatments are also set to be coveted, as more people want the results without the pain or recovery time of surgery. Take a look at the following list of treatments that will be in high demand this year…
Toxin-free wrinkle busters:
A popular way to blast wrinkles is to use a neurotoxin injectable such as Botox. While this treatment is considered safe, many people are wary of injecting themselves with toxins and other chemicals. Solving this problem is a new anti-ageing treatment called lovera. The 15-minute procedure uses liquid nitrous oxide which temporarily freezes the nerves that move the facial muscles, helping to smooth any lines or wrinkles. The treatment will cost from £250 upwards and effects last around four months.
Officially known as cryolipolysis, this technique uses cold rather than heat to break down fat cells. While it has been around for a few years, latest developments have made the process more effective and pain-free.
The latest facials are using every kind of non-surgical technology available to help skin look younger and more supple. TV’s Anthea Turner says it was a six-week programme developed by top facialist Jill Zander. Anthea chose to combine the Hydra Facial (which refines and brightens), Exilis Face and Neck Treatment (which tightens the skin) and Dermalux LED, a light therapy that helps to boost skin renewal.
As we mentioned in a previous post, facial oils are set to be the next big thing. Nourishing oils will soon include a host of anti-ageing properties too, helping to restore balance and refine lines. Keep an eye out for oil based cleansers especially, chances are you’ll be wanting one soon.
High-tech anti-ageing treatments:
An exciting development in the fight against ageing is the use of growth factors to protect skin’s DNA and rejuvenate cells. This makes our skin act the way it did when we were younger – clever stuff.
