Helping Hands

Bamford Body

For many years I have been plagued with extremely dry and unfortunately wrinkly hands for a young women of my age, so it goes without saying that hand cream is permanent fixture in my bag.

Though I enjoy dabbling in the world of hand creams and have a few notable old faithfuls (Lush Helping Hands & Nails Inc Kensingston caviar hand cream)my all time favourite has always been L’Occitaine Shea Butter hand cream, which keeps my hands moisturised all day long and has the bizarrely appealing smell of babies… However, recently I have been hugely enjoying a hand cream from Bamford Body.

As far as I know, Bamford Body actually began life in a day spa in Gloucestershire, and has since grown into a global brand which is now stocked in the rooms Claridge’s, The Connaught and The Berkeley and is available from various luxury retailers.

The line includes a vast range of botanical products, all of which are at least 95% certified organic and are free from harsh chemicals, genetically modified ingredients, parabens, artificial fragrances and colours.

One of my favourite things about this brand as that it is just as British as the Victoria Sponge! All of the ingredients are grown here and combined here and the fragrances (geranium, lavender, peppermint, rose, camomile, rosemary) and all of the loveliness in these products completely encapsulate a delightful summers day in the English Countryside.

The organic hand cream is scented with camomile, lavender and tea tree and is a thick moisturising formula which contains jojoba oil, aloe vera and bees wax to keep the hands hydrated and protected all day. The formula sinks in quickly without leaving sticky residue and although you could get away with just using this hand cream in the morning and at bedtime, it smells so good and feels so nice that if your anything like me you’ll be reaching for it far more frequently!

Bamford Body Camomile, Geranium, Lavender and Tea Tree Hand Cream is available online or in store at Liberty and is priced at £16
