According to a recent poll one in three women don’t feel comfortable stepping outside their house without putting on their make-up first.
The study looking into women and their war paint habits also revealed that a third of women wear make-up every time they go out, even if they are only popping to the supermarket.
In addition to this, over half of the women polled admitted they wouldn’t consider going to work without it and almost half also said they prefer wearing cosmetics than going bare faced.
Sara Wolverson, of Superdrug, which carried out the study, said: ”For many women, putting their make-up on is an important part of their day, and the thought of people seeing them without can be horrifying.”
It would seem that many of the women polled also credited their mascara and lippie with keeping their other half pinned down, with more than a third believing their other half would have been running for the hills if they had not been wearing make-up the first time they met!
