Great lengths
When it comes to eyelashes, the bigger the better. We tend to associate long and lusciously thick eyelashes with femininity so is it any wonder that we go to great lengths to achieve the fluttery eye effect?
Every year women shell out huge amounts on mascaras, eyelash extensions, fake eyelashes, growth serums, perms and tints and a vast majority of them end up looking rather disappointing or unnatural. Wouldn’t it be dreamy to just wake up one morning and have our eyes framed by lovely full looking eyelashes?
L’oreal had thankfully been listening to our prayers and have released their new Lash Renewel Serum and their new Double Extension Mascara in a campaign fronted by the beautiful Slumdog Millionaire star Freida Pinto.
The serum, which contains arginine and centella, gives lashes a nourishing everyday boost and leaves them feeling fortified and renewed.
The serum is to be used around the lash line and applied from root to tip. By day it can be worn underneath your everyday mascara and by night you can apply it to bare lashes so it works overnight. This is a good idea for anyone who has found another brand of mascara they are not willing to compromise on as they can apply this underneath. Alternatively you could purchase the Double Extension Mascara. The primer half incorporates the serum which works principally in the same way as the stand alone version, only it is more convenient for mascara fiends.
The other fabulous thing about the serum and mascara is that they are affordable (both are now selling at a special introductory price of £7.76 on boots.com). Lash growth accelerator’s are usually pricey and unknown whereas we know L’oreal always deliver on price and quality.
If our eyelashes end up looking even half as amazing as Freida Pinto’s then we will be satisfied customers indeed!
