Make-up for your alter ego

Illamasqua is an utterly fabulous new luxury make-up brand. Thankfully Illamasqua favour highly theatrical and detailed make-up, reminding those who just opt for some powder and one coat of mascara, that make-up is a fine art and is certainly something that can give a lot of pleasure.
We don’t just love Illamasqua because of the exquisite and high quality products but also because of the sleek and sophisticated website that hosts make-up tutorials and application tips. The website also offers its own beauty blog, which keeps the beauty fanatic up to date on their latest products and tips for how to apply them. It seems that Illamasqua have thought of absolutely everything a customer could want, even to the point where they are offering beauty tutorials in store from one of their qualified staff members.
And yes…there is more. On top of all of this, most importantly Illamasqua is a patron of the Sophie Lancaster foundation, a foundation that was set up by Sylvia Lancaster to commemorate the death of her daughter. Twenty-year-old Sophie and her twenty-one-year old boyfriend Robert Maltby were attacked and left unconscious for looking different. Sophie later died. The aim of the foundation is to stamp out prejudice, hatred and intolerance and support those who choose to look different. Illamasqua stands for self-ownership and self-expression and by purchasing the S.O.P.H.I.E pencil or band, you will be helping the charity to continue its fight to change the law and increase protection for anyone subjected to attack, abuse or insult for belonging to a subculture.
Sophie’s mother Sylvia is approaching the two-year anniversary of her daughters death and explain that you can do your bit to support S.O.P.H.I.E simply by celebrating who you are and not being afraid to express yourself.
Illamasqua is available from the Illamasqua online or ASOS online and from a number of department stores.
