In this day and age one looks at the back of a pot of face cream and is stupified with an unnecessarily complicated and long list of ingredients. ‘Retinol AR complex’ and ‘DNA superstructure’ sound like they are more to do with NASA than they are to do with a facial cleansing routine. Perhaps the beauty market is so over exposed to this complicated jargon that we forget the merits of the ever faithful bar of soap.

Lush are the advocates of a good soap and lucky for us they have just released a number of deliciously smelly new soaps into their stores.

Their ‘Vanilla In The Mist Soap‘ has real vanilla pods, from the vanilla orchids, dried, crushed and fragrant. ‘It’s like washing with a dream dessert; quadruple espresso and a top quality Italian ice cream.’ explain Lush.

The new ‘Chox Away‘ soap has a generous helping of both white and dark chocolate stirred in and is scented with tasty sweet, orange, vanilla and peppermint Honey Trap lip balm scent.

Last, but certainly not least is ‘13 Soap (unlucky for dirt)’, a beautiful rose and oregano soap that gets its name from a 1931 Hollywood film about a soap company. The son advertised a soap that didn’t exist and demand was so high, the dad had to make it. Apparently this soap is very popular among nurses because oregano kills MRSA bacteria.

You’ll be pleased to know that LUSH also brings beauty to you with a conscience. Within their organisation they have banned U.K internal flights and for overseas flights they tax themselves £50 per tonne of carbon dioxide emissions and donate the money to environmental groups and organisations that will help to make a difference.
