The Bun is Back!
The bun is set to be the essential hair style for this summer, and it’s already been seen up and down catwalks at Fashion Week. But desptie being a fairly easy style, it has the potential to go badly wrong.
We’re aiming for a slightly un-done look – nothing to severe, but nothing that’s going to drop out the minute you turn your head either.
Luckily you don’t need vast quanitites of products to achieve the classic bun, and even better – it works best on hair that hasn’t been washed for a day or so, as it helps it to stay in position better. Kirby grips are essential – you can pick up 30 from Superdrug for £1.27, as they hold the hair in place at every twist, which is especially helpful for long hair.
To keep your masterpiece in place there’s only really one you thing you need- some heavy duty hair spary. Paul Mitchell’s Freeze and Shine Super Spray is perfect, as it’ll hold the bun in and give it a nice shiny finish. It costs £8.05 and is availabe from HQ Hair now.
