Silver for S/S 09
Smoky eyes and heavy lids might finally be on the way out, with Spring/Summer 09 trends looking decidedly less intense. Metallics are still the colours du jour though, with silver being seen up and down catwalks recently.
However, don’t reach for the glitter just yet, as it’s all about subtle flicks and hints of colour.
Benefit’s Mr Frosty (£12.23), on the right, is a pearly white pencil that makes eyes look bigger and more open by highlighting the lash line, and adds a pearlescent shimmer. Use this along the inner ridge of your lash line, and then add a flick of silver in the corners – a pencil is better for a smudgy, care free look. Urban Decay’s 24/7 Eye Pencil in Dime (£8.81) is perfect.
