To draw a straight line when using eyeliner you need to place your finger on the outside of your eyelid and pull outwards, so the skin is stretched.

If you have slightly wrinkly eyelids this tip works especially well. It will also make it alot easier to get right up close to the eyelashes, and get a darker line as you can press harder onto the eyelid.
